Also Priorities..

It’s not just motivation. It’s also priorities. When I was in practice I talked with many people about their health. I asked a lot of questions to get a good understanding. I was saddened by a repeat of some of the answers. I don’t have the time to cook. I can’t afford to buy healthy food. It’s just to much work.

MYTH – I can’t afford to buy healthy food. When we switched from eating bad to eating good we hardly spent any more money than before. We stopped eating out and cooked at home. We replaced a lot of the meat and dairy with veggies and fruits. We stopped buying junk food. Some of the more healthy choices are dirt cheap. Rice, beans and lentils, for example.

MYTH – I don’t have the time to cook. Yes you do. How much time do you spend watching TV? playing on your phone? messing on your computer? I bet you can find 15 minutes to chop up a bunch of veggies and throw them in your crock-pot. Let it cook all day while your at work and come home to a healthy delicious meal with enough left over for another day and probably enough for a freezer meal as well.
