Why is everyone making a big deal of things like mumps and measles? Back in the 50s it was just something kids got and got over. No big deal. Now it’s headline news like some dreaded disease thats gonna kill ya. What’s changed?
One thing that has changed is that in the 50s we still ate real food, thus got real nutrition, thus had a real immune system. No one worried about further illness or death. Kids then didn’t have a bunch of other complications that could make it more serious like asthma, allergies, diabetes, infections and so on.
How things have changed. Today, kids grow up eating a lot of sugar, chemicals and dyes while missing out on actual nutrition. Without the nutrients from our food to give us the needed vitamins and minerals that keep our immune system doing its job, things can be far worse.
I suppose, given all of this, the fear can be real.
What boggles my mind is why don’t people think about these things. Every human on the planet knows “you are what you eat”.. and no one would argue that. Yet, it’s ignored by so many.
No one wants to spend the time to cook or the money to buy real food. They would rather trade it for sickness and disease and then look for a quick fix in the bottom of a pill bottle or a syringe.
Has the thought process also declined?
